Galerie La Forest Divonne - Special selection for BRAFA 2025

For the 70th edition of the BRAFA Art Fair, Galerie La Forest Divonne is giving pride of place to contemporary tapestry, with the Belgian duo KRJST Studio, whose sculptural approach to tapestry puts the practice back at the heart of contemporary art. At BRAFA, the presentation of their works will take on a particular meaning, in dialogue with ancient tapestry and modern tapestry, presented by various dealers. Among the other artists to be presented this year, Galerie La Forest Divonne is also delighted to bring the great French painter Ronan Barrot back to BRAFA, where he has been regularly featured by our late colleague and friend, the great Parisian gallerist Claude Bernard. With this ambitious presentation, Galerie La Forest Divonne reaffirms more than ever its attachment to Brussels, where it inaugurates its new space at 130 avenue Louise in January, to mark its 10th year in Belgium...

ABOUT

Galerie La Forest Divonne is sinds 1988 gevestigd in de iconische Parijse wijk Saint-Germain-des-Prés en sinds 2016 in Brussel. Gespecialiseerd in hedendaagse kunst, varieert het programma van figuren uit de jaren 1960 en 1970 tot jonge opkomende kunstenaars. De galerie organiseert een tiental tentoonstellingen per jaar en neemt deel aan zes tot tien beurzen per jaar (Expo Chicago, Paris Photo, Art Paris, Art Brussels, BRAFA, de Biënnale van Parijs, enz.) De galerie werkt samen met talrijke musea en instellingen waar haar kunstenaars worden tentoongesteld of aangekocht (Centre Pompidou, MoMA New York). Marie Hélène de La Forest Divonne, de oprichtster van de galerie, is lid van de raad van bestuur van het CPGA (Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art). Haar zoon, Jean de Malherbe, verliet in 2016 de Réunion des Musées Nationaux om zich bij de galerie aan te sluiten.
