ABOUT

Van Herck–Eykelberg is a secondary market gallery focused on Belgian art and modern/post-war art. The company builds on a family tradition in the arts that goes back to the mid-nineteenth century. In the last decades the gallery has acted primarily as a private broker in the sale of significant works of art, including works by Pierre Alechinsky, Léon Spilliaert, James Ensor, Paul Delvaux, Jan Schoonhoven, William N. Copley, René Magritte and Jan Toorop, as well as the sale of entire collections. In the last few years, Van Herck–Eykelberg has organised exhibitions, notably in 2019 on Walter Leblanc, a key artist of the European ZERO and kinetic art movements and in 2021 on Léon Spilliaert, a singular artist associated with the Symbolist movement.
